Incarvillea arguta

This perennial evergreen shrub is also known as Himalayan Gloxinia. It has pale pink flowers on fine red stems with deeply divided green foliage. This picture does it little justice, as when grown in a normal garden, it is incredibly diverse, it flowers immensely over most of the growing season. It is an incredibly tough plant, being drought and frost tolerant. In a garden it will grow to around 1m high with a similar spread and can be easily pruned back to a smaller growing plant if needed. For cool to temperate climates in shade or full sun and possibly drier north coastal climates.
