Helianthus salicifolius

A herbaceous perennial sunflower with masses of golden yellow single daisies starting late summer and continuing through out autumn with fine willow leaf like foliage on strong stems, its quite spectacular and combines well with the many autumn flowering Salvias. Here it grows a little over 120cm high but in more fertile soils with a milder damper climate can grow taller. Its best in a mulched perennial garden as a background plant and should be cut back to ground level after the first winter frosts, suitable for cool to temperate climates in well drained soil. Supplied in 450ml pots.
