Gladiolus cruentus

An unusual species Gladioli, we collected it years ago with this name, but it is hard to confirm. It flowers here in S A every late autumn, when flowers are starting to get scarce and has striking crimson red blooms about 90cm high. Makes for excellent cut flowers. For best results, plant in full sun or part shade in cool to temperate climates.

Supplied as a dormant cluster of corms equivalent to 10cm pot size. Needs to be planted deep with at least 8cm of soil covering the corms.
