Geranium 'Phaeum'

Geranium Phaeum, sometimes known as dusky cranesbill, is a nice plant for shade that starts the Geranium flowering season off with flushes of unusual, deep purple, near black flowers in spring with sporadic flowers in summer. It grows to around 40cm high with a 50cm spread. For best results, plant in an area with shade (even dry shade when established) or morning sun only in cool to temperate climates.
