Echinops 'Veitch's Blue'

'Veitch's Blue' makes for a superb border perennial with intense deep blue, golf ball sized flowers though summer and early autumn. It has dark green divided foliage with a silverish green undersides and grows to around 90cm high. A well-behaved plant that combines well with summer/autumn flowering perennials. Being deciduous in winter, cut back to ground level for fresh new growth in spring. For best results, plant in a cool to temperate area with full sun.
