Echinops 'Veitch's Blue'

'Veitch's Blue' makes for a superb border perennial with intense blue, golf ball sized flowers though summer and early autumn. It has dark green divided foliage with silverish green undersides and grows to around 90cm high. A well-behaved plant that combines well with summer/autumn flowering perennials. Being deciduous in winter, make sure to cut back to ground level for fresh new growth in spring. For best results, plant in a cool to temperate area with full sun.
