Carex - Elata

Carex Elata or Bowles golden sedge has glowing golden yellow foliage with each leaf having a tiny edge of lime green. If planted with some protection from the hot, afternoon summer sun it will retain its unique colouring throughout the growing season. It grows well in full shade and even waterside or boggy soils. these and all of our plants are not seed raised, they are divisions from the original Bowles golden sedge.

When it goes semi dormant in winter, cut back for fresh new growth in spring. Grows 40cm high in fountain like way.
