Sedum

Sedums are a very large genus of plants. There are hundreds of varieties, but we only concentrate on the ones that are often displayed in perennial border gardens. Generally, these are the larger growing types, some can reach up to 1M high, all are very drought tolerant and flower over long period during late summer and autumn. Can easily grow in large pots and tends to attract butterflies. Most have strikingly coloured, glistening flowers and look at their best when grown with full sun, in cool or temperate climates. Not suited to sub tropics. Deciduous in areas with colder winters.
