Kniphofia

Kniphofia or ‘Red Hot Pokers’ are from South Africa. The new breeds are in colours of peach, apricot, cream, red, yellow and mixtures of shades in between. We only grow the dwarf types and generally, these don’t flower any higher than 100cm. The foliage is much neater than the larger growing varieties. Pokers will grow and flower in most soils whilst tolerating minimal watering but with better soil and regular watering + a touch of fertilizer, they can put on a very impressive, long-lasting show.
