Collection: Caryopteris

Caryopteris, also commonly called bluebeards are an extremely drought tolerant plant once established. They handle our hot summers with ease. They are deciduous perennial shrub type plants that mostly flower in spring. they are absolute butterfly magnets and the flowers always have a misty appearance contrasting nicely with the leaf. For best results, we recommend cutting back around to 20cm above the soil every winter when they go dormant. This gives the plant a boost of fresh stems and foliage early spring. They are tolerant of most soils and do well in full sun to part shade in cool to temperate areas.
