Aster frikartii 'Monch'

'Monch' is one of the earliest Asters to start flowering. It has fine petaled lavender-blue daisies from mid to late summer to almost all the way through autumn. It has thin, strong and self supporting stems that grow to around 60cm high with an 80cm spread. It makes an excellent cut flower and is best in full sun to part shade. Herbaceous and for cool to temperate climates. We cut it back to near ground level early winter for fresh new shoots in early spring.
